We are thrilled to unveil the concept for our upcoming indoor percussion show, 'Our Story,' a truly special and innovative production that we believe will be an unforgettable experience for your students and our audience alike. Mr. Keith, Mr. Bryan, and the entire staff are incredibly excited about this production!

A Unique Narrative & Thematic Depth: 'Our Story' is a heartwarming prequel, tracing the 35-year history of the Global Wildlife Center. It begins with a simple childhood wish for a giraffe, evolving into a father's vision to share this wonder with young kids and open a sanctuary. The show beautifully illustrates how the harmony of music, the gentle presence of animals, and the warmth of enduring friendship became intertwined. You'll witness the blossoming relationship between the young boy (on marimba) and the young girl (on djembe) as their music becomes the very heartbeat of this unique land.

Unprecedented Educational Opportunity: Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this show is our collaboration with Global Wildlife Center. Your students will have the extraordinary opportunity to practice on-site at the sanctuary, performing our music around real, live animals! This is more than just rehearsal; it's a groundbreaking, hands-on study. Students will observe firsthand how different musical elements affect animal behavior, providing an unparalleled, immersive educational experience that will directly inform their performance and deepen their connection to the show's powerful theme. This unique partnership offers invaluable learning that extends far beyond the floor.

Competitive Excellence & Return to Dayton: Building on your students' incredible achievements, we have a great opportunity to return to World Championships in Dayton, Ohio! The expectation is high for our group to compete at that level again. This competitive journey is a cornerstone of their growth, and they will again be competing alongside our two other medal-winning programs at the Jackson regional, fostering a spirit of competitive honor and mutual support that truly elevates everyone's performance.

Your Role in Our Success: Rehearsal Attendance is Key This show represents the culmination of years of learning and innovation, allowing us to tell a story that is not only visually spectacular but also deeply moving and educational. For us to achieve the level of success and impact that your students deserve, and to truly bring this unique show to life, their consistent attendance at all rehearsals is absolutely critical. Our indoor percussion program is a huge group effort, where every single role is important, and every student is on the floor performing at all performances and big shows – no one is on the bench. We need every student present for the group to be successful, to learn effectively, and to build the strong team cohesion necessary for a championship-level performance.
