Middle School Band Night

Cardinal Music would like to invite all 6th - 8th grade students to the annual Cardinal Vanguard Band Night!  Students who are not currently enrolled in band, but are interested in the possibility of joining, are also welcome to attend.  The evening will take place on Friday, October 6 as the E.D. White Cardinals welcome Patterson High School to Harvey Peltier Stadium.

Students are invited to troop, and also perform a standstill piece at halftime with the Cardinal Vanguard.  The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the E.D. White Band Room.  Students will rehearse with the Cardinal Vanguard for about forty-five minutes.  After rehearsal, we will provide jambalaya and water for all students.  At 6:40 p.m. students will march with the Vanguard around the track into the bandstands.  During the game, they will sit with the band.  We will provide instruments for students who play horn, baritone, tuba, or percussion.

We want them to experience the excitement of being around the Cardinal Vanguard on a Friday night of football season.  The students will wear blue jeans, an EDW t-shirt that we will provide, and tennis shoes.

​

The students will be dismissed after halftime.  Please check-out your child after halftime by the bandstands.  For safety reasons, we cannot let them go to find you in the stands.

We have to have an accurate headcount for instruction purposes and to know how much jambalaya to prepare.  Please click the link below and fill out the google form. The form is due Wednesday, September 27.

The Cardinal Vanguard is thriving and we are excited to have students from different schools join us on October 6.  They will experience the excitement of E.D. White student life and see excellence in action.  We are very hopeful that everyone will be able to participate.
