Our E. D. White Cardinal Music Program is dedicated to providing our students with the best education in music. Our team of instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our students and are eager to help them reach their full potential.

Meet Our Music
Director
Mr. Neil Simon
Neil Simon has been an accomplished music educator and band director for over 28 years. Throughout his career, his bands have consistently received superior ratings and numerous accolades at both regional and state levels. His passion for music education spans all grade levels, from Pre-K through 12th grade, reflecting his versatility and dedication to student growth.

Mr. Simon is the founder, director, and music arranger for the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, a competitive performing arts organization that has provided life-changing opportunities for young musicians across the region. Under his leadership, the corps has grown into a respected presence in the drum corps community, known for its musical excellence and commitment to youth development.
A proud graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Mr. Simon is also an accomplished professional trumpet player. He regularly performs at weddings, religious services, and special events, and has played with a variety of dance bands throughout Louisiana. His deep musical expertise and unwavering dedication to his craft continue to inspire students and audiences alike.

Meet Our
Percussion Director
Mr. Keith Ledet
Keith Ledet has been teaching percussion in Thibodaux, Louisiana with the E. D. White band program since 1982. He was a member of the 1984 Bridgemen and 1985 Star of Indiana.
Keith graduated from Nicholls State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and worked as a graphic designer for Neff/Buckner Rental from 1989-1999. From 2000 -2007, he worked as an independent graphic designer. In 2008, he was able to begin teaching percussion full time.
Keith is currently the director of the E. D. White indoor percussion program, wielding this title since its inception in 2001.
Keith enjoys working with students at all grade levels, expounding on their growth to become productive members of society. Some have even been encouraged to become music teachers and professional performers. He is always excited to witness the multiple talents of the Indoor percussion, marching band, DCI and color guard circuits, appreciating the work that the staffs and kids put into these activities. Keith lives in Thibodaux Louisiana with his very energetic wife, Debbie, Dog Benny and Cat Cardinal.

Meet Our
Guard Director
Mrs. Olivia Adamietz
Olivia Adamietz is a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She attended E.D.White Catholic High School from 2010-2015. She was a member of the Colorguard and Winterguard for all 5 years of high school, while serving as captain both her junior and senior years. After graduating, she joined her dad, Todd Adamietz, as an assistant coach to the team from 2015-2020 while she studied nursing at Nicholls State University. After graduating from college in 2019, Olivia began working as a Registered Nurse at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Olivia became the caption head in the Spring of 2020, after her father retired from coaching.
E. D. White Cardinal Music is a high school music program that is dedicated to helping students reach their highest potential in music. Our program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that focuses on the development of the individual and their unique skills.

What really sets us apart is our support staff. Our team is comprised of alumni from the program, and they are passionate about helping the students reach their goals. With their help, we strive to create a learning environment that is both supportive and productive.

Guard Assistant
Kamryn Hebert
The E D White Guard is proud to introduce Kamryn Hebert, our talented Guard assistant. Kamryn brings years of experience as former captain of the 2020 colorguard and winterguard member from 2015-2020 at Edward Douglas White Catholic High School. Her dedication to helping our students achieve their full potential is inspiring. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team, working alongside Mrs. Olivia and our talented students to create unforgettable performances.

Kamryn is currently in Xray school and am working in radiology at Terrebonne General .

Meet Our Dean of Students and Cardinal Music brass/visual tech.
Mr. Quinn Moreaux
Quinn Moreaux has been involved in Catholic education for thirty years. He is a 1987 graduate of Thibodaux High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and a Masters Degree in School Administration and Supervision, both from Nicholls State University. He holds a lifetime Louisiana teaching license with certifications in physical science, chemistry, and biology. His previous appointment of twenty-nine years was at Vandebilt Catholic High School where he taught Honors Chemistry I, Honors Chemistry II, Honors Physical Science, and served as an assistant principal for sixteen years. Musical appointments included: brass/visual tech. and assistant director of bands with The Regiment of Vandebilt Catholic. His professional affiliations include membership in the Louisiana Association of Principals and the Louisiana Science Teachers Association. Quinn is currently the Dean of Students at E. D. White Catholic High and serves as a brass/visual tech. for Cardinal Music. Quinn is a former drum major of Nicholls State University’s “Pride of NSU”, an active member in the Bayou Community Band, and is a strong supporter of the marching arts. His wife, Kelly, teaches and serves as English Department Chair at E.D. White. They have two children, Jackson (VCH ’23) and Ella (EDW ’26).

Percussion Assistant
Nick Kearns
Nick is a well-rounded individual with a diverse background. He is a Cardinal Music Alumni and a graduate of Louisiana State University where he majored Mathematics and Philosophy. Nick was also a member of the LSU Drumline. In addition to his academic achievements, Nick is an avid snow skier and a registered instructor with the NZSIA. He finds great satisfaction in teaching and seeing his students excel in their performances.

Matthew Ledet
Our program is proud to have Matthew class of 2021 as one of our instructors. Matthew is a Cardinal Music Alumni who is now a full-time college student studying Architecture. He is our Front Ensemble instructor and his passion for music and teaching helps bring our program to life. Our students benefit from Matthew’s experience and expertise, and we are lucky to have him.

Austin Cunningham
We are excited to welcome Austin, a graduate of the Vandebilt class of 2023, as one of our instructors. Currently a music major at Nicholls State University, Austin brings a diverse background in band instruments and percussion. Our program is fortunate to have such a skilled and dedicated instructor on board.
