Our Programs
Cardinal Music is the E D White Catholic High School music program in Thibodaux Louisiana. Our program offers a range of musical opportunities including Marching Band, WGI Indoor Percussion and Winterguard, and Concert Band. Our mission is to provide students with a comprehensive and enriching music education that will inspire and motivate them to become lifelong musicians. We believe that music is an essential part of a well-rounded education and we strive to provide our students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to succeed in music and in life.
Marching Band
50 Years of
Excellence
E. D. White Cardinal Music is a high school music program located in Louisiana. With over 50 years of excellence in Marching Band, we strive to provide quality and engaging music experiences for our students.
We are proud to provide our students with the opportunity to learn and grow through a variety of musical experiences. Through our Marching Band, students learn the fundamentals of musicianship, team building and leadership. We strive to create an atmosphere of excellence and achievement that is both challenging and rewarding for all of our students.
Indoor Percussion
At E D White Indoor Percussion, our students are surrounded with a culture of excellence and opportunity. Since 2002, we have been competing in the Louisiana Mississippi percussion circuit and have won 14 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 Bronze at the circuit’s championships. We have also attended the WGI world championships in Dayton Ohio, finishing as finalists 4 out of 11 times attending, with 2 of those titles being the PSA silver medal in 2017 and 2019.
Our top priority is to provide an educational experience that helps our students develop their skills, knowledge and passion for music. We strive to produce quality performances that are creative, entertaining and inspiring.
The E. D. White Winterguard is an award-winning group of talented high school students who have been undefeated in the Louisiana Mississippi region since 2020. They have also made it to the WGI National Finals in 2023, where they achieved an impressive 5th place finish. The graceful and talented young ladies of this group always leave audiences in awe of their stunning performances. Their achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, director, and staff that make this program so successful.
Winterguard
Concert Band
At E D White Concert Band, we are dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of passionate musicians. We have a proud history of 50 years of providing amazing concerts, and our students have consistently achieved superior ratings in school concerts and concert festivals. We are also proud to have performed in the iconic venue of Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Our program is committed to developing the skills of our students and providing them with the opportunity to perform in a wide range of musical styles. With our passionate instructors and supportive environment, we strive to create a positive learning experience for all of our students.
