For many decades medical scientists have studied the effects of playing and studying a musical instrument.

It is well documented that students who learn a musical instrument:

  1. score higher academically,

  2. develop the ability to sit and stay focused longer,

  3. are better able to follow rules and procedures,

  4. learn to cooperate in a group environment,

  5. learn patience,

  6. learn responsibility

  7. create and/or elevate the inner desire to strive for excellence in all aspects of life
