Introduction

The E. D. White Catholic High School Percussion Program respectfully submits this proposal to host a WGI Regional event in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Our organization is committed to providing an exceptional experience for performers, directors, judges, staff, and spectators while continuing to grow the indoor percussion activity throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South region.

Our program has a long-standing tradition of excellence in music education and performance, and we believe Thibodaux would provide a welcoming and exciting destination for a WGI Regional event.

Venue Information

The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium

Located in the heart of Thibodaux, Louisiana, The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena that has hosted concerts, athletic events, conventions, and large community events for decades.

Built in 1970 and named in honor of longtime Thibodaux mayor Warren J. Harang Jr., the facility offers:

• A large main arena floor ideal for indoor percussion competition

• Seating capacity for approximately 3,500 spectators

• Ample warm-up and staging opportunities

• Convenient truck and equipment access

• Additional meeting room space for judges, staff, or administration

• Easy access for spectators and participating ensembles

The facility’s size and layout make it an excellent venue for hosting a successful WGI Regional event.

Thibodaux is centrally located in South Louisiana and is easily accessible from:

• New Orleans

• Baton Rouge

• Lafayette

• Gulf Coast regions

One of the strengths of our proposed site is the abundance of restaurants and food options within walking distance of the arena. In addition, the E. D. White Catholic High School Band and Percussion programs are committed to providing excellent hospitality for:

We take pride in Southern hospitality and would ensure that all event personnel are well accommodated throughout the event weekend.
