We will have several staff members available this week, so please be respectful of their time.

Thursday 4/9

Dog With Owner

Great job this week at rehearsal!

Everyone will be needed as we begin tonight. We will all meet in the gym at 5:00 PM.

5:00–5:20 – We will go over the entrance. We’ll set the equipment up exactly how we will enter at UD Arena—I’ll explain everything at rehearsal. After we run the entrance, the setup will be turned to face the baseball field side.

5:20–6:20 – Detailing
We still have sets that are not being consistently hit, and at times performers are out of step. The playing is much improved—great progress there. Bass drums, I’m not sure the solo was your best in last night’s run-through, so we’ll clean that up.

6:20 – Walk to the band room to watch the Guard girls. We will use this as an opportunity to practice how we enter facilities as a group. We will form three lines: Front Ensemble, Battery, Cymbals/Animals. We will walk together and practice going in and out of the band room in this formation.

There will be no screaming or jumping around. When we enter the band room, you must be orderly and respectful of others who are there to watch the Guard. Just a note: the Guard enters opposite of how percussion does. We will return to the gym in the same orderly manner.

6:45–8:15 – Battery & Pit outside. Cymbals/Animals in the gym.

8:15 – Full ensemble
