Thibodaux, LA – June 7, 2025 – E.D. White Indoor Percussion is proud to announce that staff member Austin Cunningham represented the ensemble at the 2025 WGI Percussion Advisory Board Meeting in Las Vegas this past weekend.
E.D. White Indoor Percussion earned this prestigious opportunity by securing a 3rd place medal at the 2025 WGI World Championships. According to the WGI Policy Manual, the Percussion Advisory Board is composed of "one representative from each of the Independent and Scholastic World finalists and the top five (5) finalists from all other classes of competition at the preceding world championships for the term of one (1) year."
During his time on the advisory board, Mr. Cunningham actively participated in discussions and cast votes on various rule changes and policies that will impact the future of indoor percussion. These votes directly influence critical aspects such as performance criteria, equipment specifications, scoring systems, and judging procedures for all WGI competitive events.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Austin for attending and representing our group and school on this national platform.
